Des Moines Register: An Iowan will lead the committee tasked with recommending the dates and order of 2024’s Republican presidential primary — a coup for Iowa as the state looks to solidify its hold on first-in-the-nation caucuses for another cycle. Republican Party of Iowa Chairman Jeff Kaufmann, who is among the state’s primary defenders of the caucuses, will lead the national party’s Presidential Nominating Process Committee.
