Coralville-based Kinseth Hospitality Cos. is partnering with workplace safety technology company Relay to bring alert devices to 101 of the properties it manages. Relay’s alert devices are designed to improve on the traditional walkie-talkie and integrate into its clients’ operations systems. Features of the device include a panic button, GPS and 3D mapping capabilities, and the ability to translate 15 languages. “Relay was selected for its adaptive technology that will provide safety measures, allow for improved communications between staff members and provide a flexible platform that will allow us to locate and implement more efficiencies,” said Scott Lockwood, KHC director of purchasing/technology. Relay will be Kinseth’s exclusive alert device partner for their properties in Iowa and other Midwest states, including the Tru by Hilton hotel in Ankeny that will be part of the recently announced addition to the Prairie Trail development.
