Iowa house sales down, prices up in October

Sales dropped 8.3 percent from a year ago to 3,412. However, sales through the third quarter of the year are up 5.8 percent over the same period last year. Houses sold in October were on the market an average 69 days, compared with 86 days in October 2014.
