Iowa Interfaith Power & Light is rebranding to Iowa Faith & Climate Network. The statewide nonprofit, founded in 2006, aims to mobilize people of diverse faith and spirituality on climate action, a news release said. The organization’s core programs and services will continue under the new name and will include a launch of new Climate-informed Ministry Cohorts. The new program will provide mentorship, training and connections with other faith leaders to clergy who are looking to become leaders in environmental stewardship, the release said. The rebrand will also be recognized as part of the upcoming Called to Climate Action conference March 29 at Grinnell College. “Faith communities provide hope, support, and a sense of connection for many. They are the heart of many Iowa communities. By shifting our focus back on faith leaders and congregations, we can engage a broader audience in the climate conversation, mobilizing people of all backgrounds to take action and build a more sustainable future together,” Deaconess Irene DeMaris, executive director of Iowa Faith & Climate Network, said in a prepared statement.
