Des Moines Register: The Iowa Legislature approved a new set of political boundaries with near unanimity Thursday, ending legislators’ work on the state’s decennial redistricting process and putting to rest Democrats’ fears of partisan gerrymandering. The plan, unveiled last week by the nonpartisan Legislative Services Agency, is the second proposal released under Iowa’s redistricting process. It establishes an electoral framework that will govern the next decade of Iowa politics.
