The CEO of the Iowa Lottery, Terry Rich, expects fantasy sports and sports betting in general to be considered this year by the Iowa Legislature, the Cedar Rapids Gazette reported. “I think there’s going to be a huge discussion,” Rich told the Gazette Friday in Cedar Rapids. With the recent explosion of fantasy sports websites such as DraftKings and FanDuel, some states are weighing whether the industry should be regulated. New York and Nevada have banned the sites as illegal gambling. Some other states are considering options for legislation.
