Iowa newspaper group tags Register as best paper
The Iowa Newspaper Association has named The Des Moines Register as its Newspaper of the Year. The honor was announced at the association’s annual conference in Des Moines last week. The paper won awards in multiple categories, including for general excellence, advertising, editorial pages, website, and education and agriculture coverage. Executive Editor Amalie Nash said the honor is “a tribute to our talented and dedicated staff, who work daily to deliver the news that Iowans depend upon,” reported DesMoinesRegister.com.
