The state program providing short-term rental and mortgage assistance to Iowans affected by the coronavirus pandemic is about to run dry, but those overseeing the program say they believe the governor will infuse it with more federal funding to keep it going.

Only about $500,000 remained as of Monday in Iowa’s $20 million Eviction and Foreclosure Prevention Program.
