Iowa restaurants say they’ve lost $1.45 billion in 2020, and fear the worst is still to come
Des Moines Register: A survey of Iowa restaurants, released by the Iowa Restaurant Association on Thursday, found that 88% of owners expect revenues to drop further in the next three months. The survey estimated that Iowa restaurant sales will total $3 billion in 2020, about 30% short of what the association projected before the pandemic. It estimated the industry’s losses at $1.45 billion.
