Iowa Safe Schools and Schabel Solutions announced the inaugural “Aspire to Inspire” employee resource group (ERG) conference, which will take place Feb. 23 to 24 at Drake University.

The first of its kind in Iowa, “Aspire to Inspire” is a two-day conference that gives organizations and their employee resource groups the opportunity to explore tools and resources for maximizing their potential. Day one will provide attendees with robust working groups, breakout sessions and plenaries led by some of the region’s most successful advocates for sustainable organizational culture change. Day two allows participants the chance to put their skills to the test by engaging with some of Iowa’s high school and college students and up-and-coming professionals.

“Our organization is beyond thrilled to partner with Schabel Solutions and Drake University to present this crucial event. DEI-oriented programming is needed more than ever in businesses, small and large, across the state,” said Becky Tayler, executive director of Iowa Safe Schools, in a prepared statement. “This one-of-a-kind conference will leave all attendees inspired and ready to work toward a brighter future for themselves, their organizations and their communities.”

“I have ten years of experience working with employee resource groups in Fortune 100 and 500 companies and a tremendous appreciation for active ERG members who step up to help their organizations become more inclusive, innovative and productive,” said Claudia Schabel, president and CEO of Schabel Solutions. “These employees are going above and beyond. ‘Aspire to Inspire’ is a great opportunity for ERG leaders in our region to learn from each other, build community, celebrate their accomplishments and be inspired.”
