Iowa Safe Schools will be hosting two LGBTQ Career Expos designed to introduce high school and college LGBTQ students to potential employers and colleges committed to creating a supportive environment for LGBTQ people, the organization announced this week, and registration is open to interested exhibitors. Iowa Safe Schools will host a Central Iowa expo on Feb. 8 at the DMACC Ankeny Campus Student Center, and a second expo on Feb. 29 at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids. Both expos are free to attend with an RSVP. The events will host workshops on interviewing, writing cover letters, professional dress and being out in the workplace. Exhibitor applications and attendee registration are available online.
