Iowa stakes a claim to state with cheapest office rents
Iowa has the cheapest average annual rent for office space at $12.08 per square foot, according to financial services website WalletHub. That makes Iowa office rents less than half the average in New York, the state with the highest average rent at $26.66 per square foot. Though rents are cheap in Iowa, the state did not make WalletHub’s list of the top 10 states for starting a business, finishing 39th.
