Tammy Koolbeck will become the executive director of the Iowa State Center on Aug. 10, VenuWorks announced Tuesday. VenuWorks will assume management of the center on Aug. 1. Koolbeck has worked in VenuWorks’ corporate office for the past 10 years, most recently as chief marketing officer and senior vice president. Koolbeck was selected as an industry Woman of Influence by Venues Today in 2010 in recognition of her contributions to the venues industry. She also was honored by the Event and Arena Marketing Conference with the Gigi Award of Excellence, the highest honor awarded by the group.
