Iowa women’s commission receives national achievement award
The Iowa Commission on the Status of Women was honored with a 2016 Achievement Award from the National Association of Commissions for Women last month. The commission was recognized for collaborating with the American Association of University Women and the U.S. Department of Labor’s Women’s Bureau during this year’s Pay Equity Week. The groups hosted a roundtable discussion and pay equity panel on April 11, followed by a series of career skill-building workshops geared toward women.
