The Iowa Women’s Foundation last week awarded $89,750 to 16 organizations across Iowa. The grants will be used to provide safe housing to survivors of domestic violence; to help create a mentoring program for women leaving state correctional systems, to fund training programs for aspiring farmers and to provide vehicles to single mothers.
