The Iowa Women’s Foundation recently announced its 2017 grant recipients during its annual awards luncheon. The Coralville-based nonprofit has pledged to give more than $108,000 to 18 Iowa organizations and nonprofits statewide, the largest grantmaking round in its 22-year history. The grant partners were selected by IWF for their commitment to helping women and girls achieve economic self-sufficiency by eliminating one or more common barriers such as a lack of education/training, employment opportunities, child care, housing, transportation and mentors.
