Iowan recognized as national young architect of the year

163 wordsAll Latest News, Real Estate and DevelopmentNathan Griffith, who works out of Neumann Monson’s Iowa City office, is the recipient of the 2022 Young Architect Award, an honor handed out annually by the American Institute of Architects. The national award recognizes individuals who have made an impact on the profession through significant contributions and leadership early in their architectural careers. Griffith joined Neumann Monson in 2008 after graduating from Iowa State University. He has been involved in numerous projects including the Cascade High School addition and Lone Tree Wellness Center, both of which have won state and regional AIA design awards. Griffith became a shareholder in the firm in 2017, and in 2020 he received the AIA Iowa Young Architect Award. In 2021, Griffin became an associate professor of practice at ISU, teaching a third-year architecture studio with an emphasis on integration of landscape. He has been heavily involved with Iowa Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, serving on several boards and representing the group at national conventions.
