Iowa’s first lady to emcee fashionable fund-raiser
Children’s Cancer Connection will present Couture for a Cause, an April 2 fund-raising event that will include live music, a fashion show and a champagne brunch. Chris Branstad, the state of Iowa’s first lady, and the women of Children’s Cancer Connection will model clothing and accessories. Sponsored by Blank Children’s Hospital, the event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at Hoyt Sherman Place, 1501 Woodland Ave. in Des Moines. The cost is $40 and all proceeds will benefit Children’s Cancer Connection. To register, click here.
