ISU engineer looks to develop smart grid
Iowa State University engineer Zhaoyu Wang is working with others to develop a smart grid he hopes will prevent the blackouts left by events such as Hurricane Matthew, which robbed 2 million of power. “It’s really a ‘dumb’ system,” Wang, an Iowa State University assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering, said in a statement.
