ISU Student Government launches programming series focused on women
To celebrate Women’s History Month, Iowa State University’s Student Government is hosting Women’s Week 2021, an events series with the goal of empowering and highlighting strong women around the world, March 8-12. The series, which includes daily lectures and panel discussions, combines virtual and in-person programming and is free to the public. Topics include women in politics, violence against women and women’s health, diversity and inclusion, international perspectives and what men can do to prevent gender violence. Speakers include Sen. Joni Ernst, women’s rights attorney Gloria Allred, FBI mobile victim specialist Karen Gale and several Iowa State faculty members and students.
