ISU to roll out master’s program for dietitians

96 wordsAll Latest News, Education, Health and WellnessA new master’s degree at Iowa State University will enable registered dietitians to earn their graduate degrees ahead of a national deadline to receive that credential. The new Master of Professional Practice in Dietetics degree program will accept applications beginning May 1 for the first class of up to 30 students in the fall. By Jan. 1, 2024, all dietitians will be required to hold a master’s degree to practice. The online course, approved by the Iowa Board of Regents in December, is a non-thesis program for those who have successfully completed ISU’s Dietetic Internship Program.
