Nearly 200 golfers participated in the 25th Annual JA Golf Classic, the annual fundraising event of Junior Achievement of Central Iowa. Sponsorships and donations in support of programs that promote entrepreneurship, career and work readiness and financial literacy raised nearly $300,000, an all-time high for the event, held Aug. 12 at Des Moines Golf and Country Club. “Support from the event has allowed countless students to grow their business and financial knowledge while developing the confidence to one day become business leaders themselves,” said Ryan Osborn, president of JA of Central Iowa. “We are very grateful for all of the leaders who have loyally supported this effort.”
