Iowa Farm Bureau Federation veteran Joe Johnson has been named executive director and secretary-treasurer, replacing 36-year veteran Denny Presnall, who is retiring. Johnson starts the new job April 20. “As a long-time leader in our organization, Joe is passionate about Farm Bureau and brings in-depth knowledge of the organization and agriculture that will be a tremendous asset to us,” President Craig Hill said in a statement. “The IFBF Board of Directors believes his integrity, proven leadership experience and ability to build solid relationships will help lead IFBF into the next century and we look forward to working with him.” In his 33 years at the organization, Johnson has worked as director of field service, senior state policy adviser in government relations, and regional manager. He is a graduate of Wartburg College.
