Jordan West Office Park will hold off on starting construction until next spring. Construction at the proposed 37-acre commercial development in West Des Moines was scheduled to start last May.

Doug Dieck, vice president of development at Ryan Cos. Inc., the developer of Jordan West Office Park, said the company wanted to wait until it recieved a commitment from one of the larger tenants before breaking ground.

“It was a strategic decision,” he said. “We didn’t want to start and then have to go back and do it all over again.”

Once Jordan Office Park is completed, the complex will include a hotel, bank, restaurant and office buildings.
