Kaplan named one of 100 best physician leaders in the country
The chief medical officer of Iowa Health System has been named one of the 100 best physician leaders of hospitals and health systems in the United States by Becker’s Hospital Review.
Dr. Alan Kaplan, who also serves as the president and CEO of Iowa Health Physicians and Clinics, was the only Iowan named to the list. Becker’s based its decision on experience in health care, awards and commitment to quality care, according to a release.
The publication said Kaplan was named to the list for his work in bridging the gap between clinical and management sectors.
