Keep those shelves stocked and cash registers humming
Hurd Real Estate Services paid nearly $9.4 million in December for a Hy-Vee Inc. food store at 410 N. Ankeny Blvd., Ankeny. The purchase from a Texas group was the sixth Hy-Vee store that the West Des Moines commercial broker and developer has purchased in the last 18 months, said Richie Hurd. The other five stores are in Pleasant Hill, Omaha, Osage Beach, Mo., Plattsmouth, Neb., and Worthington, Minn. The total paid for all six stores is about $60 million.
