Four-star Gen. John Kelly, the former secretary of homeland security and White House chief of staff, will be the keynote speaker at the 2021 Land Investment Expo. The annual expo, hosted by People Co., is planned for Jan. 12, 2021, at the Iowa Events Center. In addition to Kelly, other confirmed speakers include:

• Betsy Jibben, national reporter with Farm Journal.
• Easton Corbin, country music star.
• Jack Bobo, CEO of Futurity.
• Robert Saik, agricultural futurist and CEO of AGvisorPRO Inc.
• Peter Zeihan, geopolitical strategist.

Current plans are to hold an in-person event with attendees offered the option to watch an online stream remotely. Should the pandemic force a reconsideration of plans, Peoples Co. officials will consider delaying the expo until a later in-person date or canceling the event.
