Khan wins Grinnell Prize
Shafiq R. Khan, founder and CEO of Empower People, has been awarded the Grinnell College Innovator for Social Justice Prize. Khan and his organization have worked to stop bride trafficking in north India and to empower the girls and women affected by the issue. The $100,000 Grinnell Prize honors individuals who have demonstrated leadership in their fields and who show creativity, commitment and extraordinary accomplishment in effecting positive social change.
