Kinzler Construction Services has acquired the insulation and gutter divisions of Comfort Solutions, which has locations in Des Moines and Marion. The transaction was effective on Aug. 19, Ankeny-based Kinzler said in a release. Bringing the gutter division to Kinzler adds new services to Kinzler’s operation in Cedar Rapids, including installing gutters, leaf guard protection and gutter/downspout repairs for both residential and commercial projects. Kinzler specializes in installing insulation, gypsum concrete, fireproofing and overhead doors. The company also distributes a construction materials including drywall, steel framing, acoustical ceiling tile and exterior insulation finishing systems. “This merger further strengthens our ability to serve builders and homeowners across the state of Iowa and beyond,” said Tanner Kinzler, president and CEO of Kinzler Construction Services. Comfort Solutions co-owner Mark Eichinger will continue his leadership as part of the Kinzler team. About 50 members of the Comfort Solutions insulation and gutter divisions – roughly 40 in Cedar Rapids and 10 in Des Moines – will transition to Kinzler. Comfort Solutions co-owners Matt Hoskins and Alex Hefflefinger will continue operating Comfort Solutions for HVAC, Aerobarrier and energy audits.
