Kristi Knous, president of the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines, has been named co-chair of the Council on Foundations’ Community Foundation Advisory Group. The Council on Foundations is a nonprofit, membership association for grantmaking foundations and corporations. According to information on the council’s website, the advisory group will provide a new mechanism for community foundation leaders to collaborate on programs, resources and services for community foundations. The advisory group is made up of 15 people who were selected from a field of 50 applicants. Knous will be joined as co-chair of the group by Heather Peeler, president and CEO of ACT for Alexandria.
