Kraus-Anderson opens Des Moines office

Minneapolis-based general contractor and construction managing firm Kraus-Anderson has opened a new regional office in Des Moines, the company announced in a news release.

The office, located at 100 Court Ave., was built in 1901 and originally served as a wholesale grocery. It has been included on the National Register of Historic Places.

Kraus-Anderson opening an office in Des Moines is part of its expansion, which included new regional offices that opened this year in Phoenix and Fargo, N.D.

According to a news release, the firm’s work in Iowa dates back to 1981 and has included clients such as Lowes, Ameriprise Financial Services, Best Buy, Target and Golf Galaxy. It has worked on 184 projects totaling more than $343 million.

The company has recently begun strategic planning for Osceola Regional Health Center in Sibley, Iowa.

Bryan Michael

Bryan Michael will serve as director of operations in the Des Moines office. He most recently served as co-owner of Des Moines-based PDC Partners, a provider of development and construction services.

Michael has his bachelor’s in science degree in construction engineering from Iowa State University.
