Kum & Go donates $547,000 to Habitat for Humanity
More than $547,000 has been donated this year to Habitat for Humanity International by the Kum & Go convenience store chain and its customers, the two groups announced. Kum & Go, headquartered in Des Moines, and Habitat have worked together since 2014 to build affordable homes in communities across the U.S. Over the past 10 years, Kum & Go has raised more than $5.5 million for Habitat for Humanity. In April, Kum & Go’s more than 400 stores in 13 states collected donations from customers that totaled over $290,000, according to a release. Ten cents from each 20-ounce K&G bottle of water purchased during the month was also donated. Kum & Go also made a corporate donation of $250,000 to Habitat.
