U.S. states can expand registered apprenticeship programs in good-paying job fields such as information technology, health care, advanced manufacturing, building trades, cybersecurity and business services, using a new U.S. Department of Labor grant. The department will be awarding grants ranging from $700,000 to $3.2 million as part of ApprenticeshipUSA State Expansion Grants. About 33 grants will be approved, totaling $50.5 million.
