Larger role for Godlasky
Tom Godlasky, Aviva USA’s president and chief executive officer, will become chief executive, North America, leading Aviva’s U.S. and Canadian businesses.
In a press release, Godlasky said, “Andrew Moss, Aviva plc’s incoming group chief executive, has asked me to lead Aviva’s North American businesses. Aviva USA is a national leader in life insurance and annuities. Aviva Canada is also a national leader — it is one of Canada’s leading property and casualty insurance groups with more than 3 million customers, 3,000 independent broker partners and 3,100 employees. I am looking forward to taking on this expanded role and working with Aviva colleagues in the U.S. and Canada to build an even stronger business in North America.”
Godlasky took over from Roger Brooks at the end of 2005 as chairman and chief executive officer of AmerUs Group Co. Aviva acquired AmerUs in 2006.
