Lawsuit reveals Science Center of Iowa’s ongoing battle to repair Imax theater
Des Moines Register: Des Moines’ lone Imax theater remains closed due to water damage from nearly two years ago because the company that insured the structure is acting in “bad faith,” according to allegations made in a lawsuit. Philadelphia Insurance Co. is accused of using a “sham” expert report to delay or underpay claims linked with repairs to water-damaged parts of the Blank Imax Dome Theater at the Science Center of Iowa, according to a lawsuit filed in Polk County District Court earlier this month by the nonprofit organization.
