This year’s Inclusion Award winners included the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute, Bankers Trust and TPI Composites. The awards from the Greater Des Moines Partnership and the Business Record honor employers that have championed diversity and inclusion at their organizations and in the community. The nominees are evaluated by a selection committee made up of members of the Partnership’s Inclusion Council and past honorees. Winners must be members or investors of the Partnership. The Leadership Institute won the small category after its percentage of diverse class members rose from a three-year average of 6 percent in 2013 to 14 percent in 2019. Bankers Trust won the medium category with a workforce composed of 17 percent people of diverse backgrounds, 65 percent women and 30 percent women serving in leadership roles. TPI Composites won the large category and has a workforce representing 46 countries, with 34.6 percent black or African national and 20 percent Hispanic.
