Increased awareness about the ties between walkability and better health is shaping development projects in Central Iowa and beyond. Here’s a video from Kris Saddoris, vice president of development for Hubbell Development Services, about what she learned as one of the first 15 members of the Iowa Walking College last year. The initiative, modeled after the National Walking College curriculum, is an interactive educational program created to increase the number of walking advocates in communities across the state.
