Library receives grant
The Des Moines Public Library Foundation has received a $60,000 grant from the Roy J. Carver Trust in support of the North Side library branch renovation.
This $700,000 renovation is part of the library’s 10-year facility improvement plan and is scheduled to be completed by July.
The downtown Central Library and the East Side branch library have been completed under the plan. The North Side branch, South Side branch and Forest Avenue branch are all under construction.
