Nov. 8: Celebration of Excellence
Host: NAWBO Iowa
About: The Iowa chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners will present three awards at its annual “Celebration of Excellence.” Barbara Crowley of Brokers Clearing House Ltd. will receive the NAWBO Iowa Legacy Award and will be inducted into the NAWBO Iowa Hall of Fame. Kimberly Baeth of Golden Openings Inc. will receive NAWBO Iowa’s Woman Business Owner of the Year Award,  and Karen Taylor of Taylored Benefits Inc. will receive NAWBO Iowa’s Advocate of the Year Award. Tickets to the event are $75 for both members and guests.

Host: The Greater Des Moines Partnership 
About: The purpose of the Small Business Success Summit is to inform, educate and inspire business owners in Greater Des Moines. The summit will host keynote speakers, workshops and breakout sessions on a variety of timely topics that affect business owners and managers. Attendees will also have time to network and establish strategic partnerships. The cost: $79 for members, $99 for nonmembers; includes keynotes, breakfast, lunch and reception.
