The ax-throwing craze is drifting south from Canada and making its way through the U.S. and now to Iowa. The three venues coming are Lumber Axe, which will open June 28 at 338 S.W. Sixth St.; Ironside Axe Club, which will debut June 29 at 2700 University Ave. in West Des Moines; and Civil Axe Throwing, which will open in an undetermined spot in Des Moines’ East Village.
