Capture Management Solutions, an association management company based in Des Moines, announced that Carl Lingen, co-owner, is purchasing the company from Natalie Battles, co-owner and president. Battles will stay on as a special projects consultant to the company. The parties did not disclose financial terms of the transaction. CMS started in 2009 focusing on marketing, communications and grassroots strategies for state governments and nonprofit organizations. In 2012, the company expanded to offer additional services including administrative, event management, board governance and financial services and continues to serve 12 state and national associations. “The change in leadership and ownership was a timely decision for me to make in 2022,” Battles said in a statement. “Capture was able to thrive and even grow during the pandemic due in great part to the perseverance, innovation and vision that Carl had for Capture, and now is the right time for this transition in ownership to take place.” The company currently employs 14 professionals at its East Village office. Lingen, now president and CEO of CMS, has partnered with Battles for the past 13 years at the company. He is a Drake University graduate in business and also has a Drake MBA in executive development. In July 2021, Battles took on the role of executive director of FIN Capital, a female angel investors network launched in 2016. Insider:Read more about FIN Capital.
