Living History Farms to host Caucus for Cookies
Living History Farms will host a Caucus for Cookies from 1 to 3 p.m. on Feb. 1. The event is meant to help families learn about the history and participate in the process of Iowa’s first-in-the-nation caucuses while sampling baked goods. Families will get to partake in the caucus experience by campaigning and voting for their favorite sweet treats. Arrive by 1:45 p.m. to participate in the entire caucus process, led by Urbandale Mayor Bob Andeweg. Cookies are provided by Hy-Vee and Molly’s Cupcakes. All ages are welcome; however, the program content is primarily designed for those 8-13 years old. Tickets are available online through noon Jan. 31 and at the door on the date of the event. Tickets are discounted if purchased in advance.
