Brodey Hanson, executive director of the Bridges at Ankeny, was named the 2023 recipient of the AHCA Leader of the Year Award by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living. “This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team at the Bridges at Ankeny,” Hanson said in a prepared release. “I am privileged to work alongside such talented individuals who share a common goal of providing exceptional care and improving the lives of those we serve.” Hanson has worked in health care for more than 10 years and has overseen facilities that offer skilled care, long-term care, assisted living and dementia care. He joined the Bridges of Ankeny in 2018, and in 2022, the facility received the Governor’s Award for Quality Care in Health Care Facilities. He also serves on three different IHCA work groups. Hanson is a member of the Business Record Forty Under 40 class of 2022.
