Former American Farm Bureau Federation president Dean Kleckner, 82, who also led the Iowa Farm Bureau for a decade, died last week of Alzheimer’s disease. Known for his humor and plain-spoken manner, Kleckner became president of the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation in 1975 and the national organization in 1986.
