LSI awarded funding for virtual Refugee and Immigrant Services
Lutheran Services of Iowa’s Refugee and Immigrant Services has been awarded $23,894 from United Way of Central Iowa to support transitioning LSI’s traditional English language learning and job preparation services to virtual programming, LSI announced this week. In 2019, 700 former refugee students attended LSI’s English, work readiness and citizenship classes.
