Lutheran Services in Iowa was recently awarded $25,000 from the Immanuel Vision Foundation to support LSI Early Childhood Services in Polk County. The funding from the Omaha-based foundation will specifically support LSI’s HOPES program, which provides in-home parenting education and resources for families and young children. This service is provided at no cost to Polk County families and is available for parents until their child is 5 years old. “We are grateful for this generous support from the Immanuel Vision Foundation,” said Nancy Krause, director of LSI Early Childhood Services. “Thanks to community partnerships like this, LSI is able to provide crucial in-home services that help children and their parents thrive.” LSI is one of Iowa’s largest human services agencies and benefits tens of thousands of Iowans annually through child abuse prevention, services for families and youth in crisis, services for people with disabilities, and refugee services.
