Denton Homes and Carmel Development are acquiring 30 acres from Hyperion Field Club on which an executive residential golf community is planned. The wooded area is north of Northwest Beaver Drive in Johnston and is described as one of the last locations in the community for building a custom home. Denton Homes and Carmel Developments are owned by Scott and Stephanie Denton, who have been building luxury custom homes in Central Iowa for over 18 years. Recently completed developments in Urbandale include Carmel and Carmel Park. “The land is exactly what we look for when deciding on where we’ll develop as it’s fully encapsulated by nature,” Stephanie Denton said in a prepared statement. “It’s been a long couple of years navigating discussions with all parties involved, but we are thrilled to officially get the ball rolling.” Carmel Hyperion will be located directly across from the entrance to Hyperion Field Club, on the east side of its driving range at 7390 N.W.
