The Small Business Majority surveyed 800 business owners from eight states and found that 50 percent of small business owners agree the law should be upheld, but when they are told the provisions, 56 percent believe the law should be upheld with only minor changes. 

Only 34 percent of small business owners want the act overturned, and when they learn what the provisions are, only 28 percent want it overturned. In each scenario, 16 percent of business owners reported that they wanted the law upheld, but wanted major changes to it. 

The U.S. Supreme Court is expected to hand down a ruling soon on the Affordable Care Act and whether it is constitutional. The National Federation of Independent Business, along with several state attorneys general, have sued the federal government over the act, saying it is unconstitutional to mandate people to purchase health insurance. 

When it comes to the provisions of the bill, the Small Business Majority found that 66 percent of business owners liked the idea of state health insurance exchanges, would participate in them and would like their states to seek federal funding to set them up.
