MBI announces new workforce endowment and RFP
Master Builders of Iowa announced a new endowment to offer career education resources and workforce recruitment in the Iowa commercial construction industry. The MBI WORKS (Workforce Opportunities Require Knowledge and Skills) Endowment has $5 million committed by MBI toward its establishment, and a request for proposal is available to schools, businesses and nonprofits interested in partnering on construction career advocacy initiatives. Gov. Kim Reynolds and Lt. Gov. Adam Gregg assisted MBI in the announcement this morning. “We are incredibly excited to begin evaluating which new bold proposals will attract even more people to the rewarding careers our industry offers,” said MBI President and CEO Chad Kleppe. Information on the request for proposal is available at www.mbi.build/MBIWORKS.
