McGill Junge provides In the Bag lunches for 500 UnityPoint Health workers
McGill Junge Wealth Management in Urbandale, an affiliate of Northwestern Mutual, recently provided 500 lunches to health care workers at UnityPoint Health and Blank Children’s Hospital. The donated lunches from Des Moines caterer In the Bag were in lieu of being able to give essential workers thank-you hugs, said Ed McGill, co-founder and partner of the firm. “We recognize that essential workers in Des Moines need our support more than ever,” McGill said. “We believe in the power of transforming the communities where we serve clients, and we’re proud to support several great organizations that have been impacted by COVID-19.” The donation was also to help provide business for In the Bag, which has been adversely affected by the temporary closure of many corporate offices in Des Moines during the pandemic, partner and co-founder Ross Junge said.
